Remember our BIG $ 45,100.00 Shave and tattoo our head auction?

Everyone on the internet and ebay keeps asking us what happened with our BIG $45,100.00 auction and why our heads are not shaved and tattooed yet. People in our town ask us every day when we go to town.

For those of you who do not know about our big auction, I will tell you.

First off, we did this auction so that Kerri could get back into college. Her dream is to go to The University of Texas!!! Go Longhorns!!! She wants to Major in Internatinal Business and Minor in Public Speaking. She needed money to pay off her old college loans that she had gotten and to help pay to get her into a college that she deserves so much to be in. When children are homeschooled, it is harder for them to get the kinds of loans they need. Kerri graduated High school Home Schooling and went on to technical college at the tender age of 16 1/2. She was the youngest kiddo there they informed us.

I did what I could to help get Lola in a Techinical college but she was so smart and all the people there were into drugs, Lola felt she needed something better. She did make the Deans list and also won a national poetry contest too!!! Kerris roommate kept telling her to find somewhere else to stay at night because she would say she was having company. Kerri did not know where she would be sleeping from night to night, be it her car, or a friends apaertment on the floor. She continued to make good grades and do good in studies. Kerri finally had enough and felt if she was paying her rent and the apartment complex was doing NOTHING to fix this situation, she would stand up to this girl. The girl threatened Kerri and ended up slashing her tires on her VW Bug. That was it. I went and picked her and her things up after filing a police report and brought her back home. She has not been back since.

I am so proud of her and want so much more for her, so she came up with this crazy advertising auction and has had some big companies contact her!!! I was so blown away by the first auction that we did!!! Thank you so much for all your support and for adding this auction to your watch list to help her make the main pulse page in eBay!!! You guys were so awesome throughout her journey!!! Yes, even all of you who sent very hateful messages and didn't give her much hope, you still were helping her out more than you will ever know. :o) Keep an eye out, we have been working on a much BIGGER and BETTER auction and we may be listing it again very soon. It will BLOW you away!!!

Lola (Kerri) had foot surgery on both her feet and had 8 pins sticking out of her toes and one sticking out each side of her foot, and for several weeks and was unable to really walk for about two months. She was sitting on the computer one day looking at weird things on ebay and decided she would run an advertising auction and try to make money to pay off her college loans that she has so that she would be able to get back into college. "My mom is single and has always tried her best to do for me, but right now she is unable to help me with any of my College funds" Kerri said.

Kerri also told the press : "I am doing this because I thought it was a unique way to help pay for my college education," said Kerri. "I realize that the tattoo will be permanent, but so will my education. I also want to start a college fund for my four-year-old sister, that way, she will not have to go through what I've had to go through." Kerri took a lot of time to plan out her auction and finally set it up. It was pulled four times because of us saying that Moms hair will go to Locks Of Love. They claimed it was charity auction.

I decided to help her with the auction and was also drug into it and was going to shave my head bald and tattoo it with the winning bidders company, web site, etc. and keep my head shaved bald for one full year right along with Kerri. Kerri was going to run through the city of the winning bidders choice in NOTHING but a bikini, with her body painted their choice of colors and tell everyone about their company. Gracie and I were going to make this run with her, and pass out anything the company had for us to pass out to people watching & wondering. We were going to advertise on my Mini Van and her Classic VW Bug for a year too.

We threw in allot of excitement for this auction like eating a fear factor style dinner at the end of the run. We also had some Famous Golden Palace Advertisers jump in on the deal to make it even better. They were wanting to make the run with us. This auction got allot of media attention, we were in newspapers, magazines, news, and even had radio stations calling us from other states.

The reserve of $15,000 was met shortly after putting the auction up. We had over 55,000 people who had viewed the auction and had almost 3000 watchers. Started the bidding at 0.99 cents and it ended at $45,100.00 to a user by the name of DJATM311. With Golden Palace being right behind them with a $45,000.00 bid. We were even on the main page of the pulse for many days.

DJATM311 better known as Matt (last name being withheld) who had called us on the phone a few times and told us what his plans were and even sent us a fax with his signature and another signature from his company that was called Aerosplice Inc. I looked and they had a web site but there was nothing there. He said they have not gotten it all set up yet but that we would be advertising their new Aerospace 'Craft' that would eventually take people into space.

He had Kerri crying on the phone and thanking him over and over for about an hour. He told her that they were going to buy her a new VW Bug with their advertising all over it so that she could drive it while she was in college. They were going to set up a debit account and keep money in it for her to have a little spending money for food and gas. They were also going to set up a scholarship that would pay for her college, so the money they won this auction for, she could do whatever she wanted with it. Buy a house he told her.

Matt told us that he had talked to the 'BIG GUY' and they had given him the 'O.K.' to bid up to $50,000.00+ and that no one was going to outbid them. He also said that if in fact they were outbid on our auction that he wanted to still be a big part of Kerri's education and help her out with it as much as he and his company could.

We had talked to another great place that buys auctions like ours, Golden Palace Casino. We told the Golden Palace Rep. about this other guy and he said he would check into this guy and let us know if he found anything out on him. He also told us to block anyone from bidding anymore unless we knew they were a very serious bidder. I did that. It made one of them very mad at me for blocking them. I did not know if they were serious or not. (I recorded all phone conversations with all parties involved and saved all e-mails & instant messenger messages)

We never heard anything back from Golden Palace about this DJATM311 so we figured everything was legit, since bidding on an auction is a binding contract and we got a fax from his company stating that they would pay if they won it.

I told Kerri several times that what Matt was telling us sounded to good to be true. He was bidding on other shave my head auctions as well and said his company was going to have a big conference with all of us having our heads shaved and tattooed together.

The auction ended and we were so happy. Matt called us and he had all his guys from the company in the background and they were so excited that they had won our auction. He said we would do a wire transfer of the funds and that he would get my information from me to do that in a day or so.

A few days later he told us that they had an explosion at the plant and the prototype that we were going to be promoting was destroyed and that they would not need us doing the advertising any longer. OUR HEARTS SANK. Matt said that it would take some 16 months for them to rebuild it. I told him then they can pay us half the money now and in 16 months they can pay us the other half and then we can shave our heads then and tattoo them. We would start the Year when our heads were shaved and tattooed, and he said NO.

We searched and searched newspapers, web sites etc. and could not find any kind of information on an explosion in that area. I also have a friend that lives about 10 minutes from the plant and she said she had not heard of any kind of explosion. Wouldn't you think that if there was a big company that had an explosion it would be in the paper or in the news?

I noticed then that he started retracting his bids on other shaved head auctions. Matt DID pay me the some $415.00 for my listing fees to pay ebay with but that is nothing compared to what he would have paid us. Did he do this thinking that I would not take him to court for the rest of what he owed us?

I reported DJATM311 to ebay as a non-paying bidder and tried to resolve it that way with no luck, so I left him negative feedback and contacted an attorney. He changed his name to dr.prototype and is now not a registered user on ebay anymore.

Negative feedback we left for him: PROMISED TO PAY AND DIDN'T!! BROKE MY DAUGHTERS HEART AND PLAYED W/ HER EMOTIONS!

His response to the feedback that I left was this: Was unable to pay do to unforeseen circumstances. I did send $415 Terribly Sorry

Puuuaaaaalease!!!! $415.00 not very much money compared to $45,100.00

We decided we would offer Golden Palace a second chance on it, knowing good and well that they NEVER take second chances. We sent them an e-mail and never heard back from them.

We then decided we would re-list it. Matt saw that we had re-listed it and even paid Power Mix Online Radio (you guys are great) for Kerri to get on their radio station and do an interview.

Little Gracie and I were in a horrible car accident during this auction, when an 18 wheeler turned in front of me making me swerve and forcing me off the road. We hit three trees and five corner fence posts. To this day we are still having problems from this accident and I was forced to shut down my Resale Store because I could not operate it the way I used to.

Our second auction met the reserve and then the person that met the reserve retracted their bid. Our auction did not do as good that time, so Kerri really lost it. Kerri was so hurt by what happened with the first auction, she would not even help me with the second auction. Kerri has been through allot in her life and she deserves a good education. She is very smart, talented, funny, and has done so much in her life for being so young. She has bought five cars on her own since she was 14 yrs old. She is a hard worker and a blast to be around. It makes me so angry that Matt did this to her and hurt that Golden Palace did not come back and bid on the second auction that we were told to re-list by them. Kerri talked to the Golden Palace Rep several times and was under the impression that they were very serious about helping make her dreams of a good college education come true, but they never bid on her second auction after telling us to re-list it for them. That time they could have won her auction for a mere $15,000.00 but they didn't.

This auction cost us $350.00

We have contacted and hired an attorney to take this guy to court and at least get some of the money back from his big game he played with us and to show him we mean business. It is illegal to bid on an auction if you don't plan on following through if in fact you are the high bidder.

There are a lot of people online that still talk about our auction, and want us to re-list it. We have seen on discussion boards people saying that DJATM311 was a friend of ours and that he was just bidding it up as high as they could to get Golden Palace to pay BIG MONEY for it and that is NOT true at all.

Q. I have heard some people say that this DJATM311 lives in Texas and that he has bid on some of your previous auctions. Is this true?

A. No Matt does not live in Texas. He lives in Washington. He has never bid on anything of mine on ebay except for our auction. He did bid on every auction we listed, like when they were pulled he would come back and start bidding again on the new one.

Q. How did you get so many people to look at the auction? Last I checked there were close to 60,000 people that had viewed the auction.

A. We have a great Cousin who sent out a press release all over the U.S.for us and we also did a lot of work ourselves on getting the word out. E-mailing friends, and family and asking them to add it to their watch list and pass it on to their friends and family. We also made phone calls and sent out our own e-mails to the media. The more people that hear about it, the more people will go to look at an auction. We also feel that we did a good job with the updates and making people want to come back to see what was new in the auction.

Q. Could you help me make an auction like this?

A. Yes, I have helped many people do auctions and charge a small fee for doing this. Believe it or not, I have gotten even better at listing auctions since we did that big one. :o)

Q. Someone told me that gp contacted you at the end of your auction and told you to cancel all of this guys bids on the auction.

A. No this is not true. Golden Palace contacted us days before the end of the auction. They did not contact us on the day of the auction. They did tell us that they were going to bid, but we did not know when they were going to bid or for how much.

Now I have a question for you. Do you talk to the Golden Palace Reps or was this told to you by someone in else? We have heard of one person who advertise's for Golden Palace that thinks 'SHE' know what is going on with everything that has to do with Golden Palace.

Q. Are you girls ever going to do this big auction again? I heard Jay Leno talking about it on his show. I watched it all the way till the end and you girls did a great job with it. TWF

A. Honestly I do not know. I have wanted to re-list it again, NOT for Golden Palace but for any big company that wants to bid and get in on the greatest auction ever on ebay!! But, it was all Kerri's idea and she has cried many nights after that auction and has given up hope on doing the auction again. I really feel that she is so smart and we could re-list that auction and it may even do better then the first time. I have been getting everything ready for re-listing it and making it even better, but Shhhhhhh don't tell Kerri. I may try to do it without her knowing and see if her dreams will finally come true!!! That would be a great surprise for her wouldn't it?

Q. This girl (not saying names here) told me that you all are just trouble makers and liars, but she could not tell me why she thought this. Are you really trouble makers and liars? lol

A. I bet I can guess what Girl said this to you, because from what I hear from many people she has been talking trash about us since the end of our auction. No we do not see ourselves as trouble makers. We do not have a click on ebay or on the net. We are friends with everyone. We do not hate anyone, we love everyone's creativity with their auctions. No we do not feel we need to lie about anything and have not lied about anything, Therefore we are not liars.

Q. My family and me watched this auction and was wondering why some of the photos there looked to be tattoos on your daughters arms?

A. That was because she said in the auction that she would write every person who bid on the auction, on her arm, back, legs, etc. in scripto marker until the auction was over. Boy, was that a chore when she took a shower. It was still on her but I would have to retrace every name or website address so it would be bright and noticble to everyone she came in contact with. Some of these people did contact us to let us know that their counts/Sales went up on their sites because of this great idea of Kerri's.

Q. (name being withheld) from ebay told me that you had that djatm guy bidding on your auction to raise the bids so that goldenpalacecasino would pay much more. Did you know this guy before you listed your auction?

A. WOW Always the same 'Girl' that people keep telling me about. No we did not know DJATM311 before we listed our auction. At first we wanted Golden Palace to win our auction. Then after DJATM311 contacted us and went through everything with us we were very excited about them winning our auction and really put Golden Palace on the back burner. We asked this guy to send us some money to our pay pal account or send us a copy of their credit card/drivers licence. (This is what the Golden Palace Rep. told us to do) and this company did not want to do that but did send us a fax with signatures on it from the company saying that if they won they were going to follow through and pay for the auction. We felt that was enough to not have to cancel bids for the Famous Golden Palace. We really believed in this guy and really thought he and his company were very serious.

Q. I see that you really were in a car accident. I saw on another web site where people said that you were not in a car accident and that you were just saying this to get more attention for your auction and get some bids on it.How are you two doing since the accident?

A. Yes we were REALLY in a car accident. My mini van was totaled. I did place photos of part of my van on my ebay me page so that everyone could see that it had in fact been wrecked. We are alive and they said it could have been much worse. Gracie is still having ear problems and I have been going to therapy.

Q. Is it true that you have talked bad about Golden Palace after they did not win your auction? I am not saying that you did, but "Ebay_Name_Removed" has been telling everyone this.

A. Gosh How many more people are going to tell us this person is talking so horribly about us? (I have removed her name from the question) Thank you so much for letting us know this. We helped this girl with one of her BIG auctions and after her auction was over, she never told us thank you, never talked to us again after it was over. All we have heard is that she just talks very badly about us to the Golden Palace Reps. and the people on ebay. Believe me I have a lot of proof of what she is telling people and I will get to the bottom of this and all the proof will be shown to Golden Palace and will show what kind of 'CHARECTER' she is. We did not talk bad about Golden Palace. We love Golden Palace. Those guys were very nice to us and have never done anything to us, unless what this 'GIRL' says they say about us is TRUE. All the lies she has been telling people about us would lead me to not believe everything she says. Golden Palace is very professional and allot of fun to deal with. We often go to their site to see what they have bought on ebay. WE LOVE THEM!!!

Q. I remember you saying in your auction that the Howard Stern show contacted you to be on his show. Did you ever take him up on the offer?

A. Yes, the Howard Stern show did contact us, but we turned the offer down because we did not want to be affiliated with that type of show.
